Overweight and healthy?

Although people who are obese (more than 30 pounds overweight), are at greater risk of dying from several diseases, the same is not true for those who are simply overweight. A recent government study has shown that being as much as 25 pounds overweight actually seems to be an advantage in surviving cancer, heart disease, emphysema, pneumonia, injuries, and infections.

Put down that twinky. There are objections to the study, one of which is that it deals with death, not quality of life. Furthermore, being overweight was still shown to increase risk of death due to diabetes and kidney disease.
