Small World not big enough

Disneyland's Small World ride, when it was built over forty years ago, was designed to accommodate the average size man and woman of the time. The ride ran without problems back then, but today the boats frequently lodge in the flume.

The ride is fine. It's the passengers who have changed: We're fatter and therefore causing the boats to bottom out. That's why Disney is retooling the Small World ride to handle its now heftier clientele. More water and more buoyant boats should solve the problem.

Maybe it's time to rename the ride as well.
